EP Climbing is proud to announce our participation in the ABC Conference 2025, taking place on 18–19 September at the Magna Science Adventure Centre, Rotherham, UK:
📍Stand: K1–3
📅 Dates: 18 & 19 September 2025
📌 Location: Magna Science Adventure Centre, Rotherham, UK
This year’s event will be particularly meaningful for us, as we celebrate our 40th anniversary with new product launches, partnerships, and a strong commitment to shaping the future of indoor climbing.
At Stand K1–3, we’ll be showcasing some of the latest EP news and celebrating our rich heritage in climbing.
We are proud to present the Versa Pack, a brand-new set of climbing holds developed in collaboration with Impact Route Setting.
Designed by professional route setters, for route setters, the Versa Pack provides the versatility and ergonomics needed to unleash creativity and efficiency on the wall. Built for both high-performance and commercial settings, these holds represent the next evolution in shaping indoor climbing experiences.
In 1985, EP made history as the creator of the first modern climbing holds, sparking a revolution in how climbing could be practiced indoors. From those first resin shapes, EP went on to pioneer climbing wall construction and later create Clip ’n Climb, transforming climbing into a global sport and leisure activity.
At this year’s ABC Conference, we will celebrate this milestone with a special 40-year timeline — a visual journey through key dates, images, and quotes that tell the story of how EP grew from a small French workshop into one of the world’s leading climbing solution providers.
But this isn’t only about the past — our 40th anniversary is also about asking: Who is EP today?
We’re proud to be new partners of NICAS (National Indoor Climbing Award Schemes), a leading UK initiative making climbing more accessible and inclusive through structured learning pathways.
Together, we aim to grow participation in climbing — from first steps on the wall to advanced levels — and support gyms in engaging new generations of climbers.
On 18 September from 6:00–10:00 pm, the ABC Conference will host its legendary Inside Edge evening event at The Climbing Hangar.
EP Climbing is proud to be the official sponsor of this special evening — an opportunity to network, celebrate, and climb together in a relaxed, social atmosphere.
We are delighted to share that our Marketing Manager, Tiphaine Lazard, will be a guest speaker at the Sustainable Climbing Alliance Conference on 18 September at 2:45 pm.
Joining representatives from Greenholds and The Climbing Academy (TCA), she will take part in a panel exploring the critical question: “Is it time for the climbing industry to make its sustainable transition?”
As part of this effort, EP Climbing and partners have launched a European survey to better understand the challenges, needs, and opportunities facing climbing walls, suppliers, and communities on the path to sustainability.

Your feedback will help shape the roundtable discussions and guide the next steps for the industry.
Organised by the Association of British Climbing Walls (ABC), the annual conference is one of the most important gatherings for climbing professionals in the UK and Europe. It brings together wall operators, suppliers, and industry leaders to share knowledge, explore new products, and discuss the future of climbing.
In 2025, the conference will once again be hosted at the Magna Science Adventure Centre, an iconic venue that reflects the innovation and energy driving the climbing industry forward.
