EP Climbing is proud to be an IFSC Authorised Producer for Holds, Macros, and Volumes.
When EP Climbing created the first climbing holds in 1985, the sport of climbing changed forever. Climbing has evolved since the inception of EP Holds, yet we continue to offer innovative and artistic climbing holds, macros, and volumes to the market.
EP Climbing is proud to produce IFSC Authorised holds, macros, and volumes.
Skinny and Nerve, our new wooden volumes launched last year at EPUS under the Bio range, will be available soon all around the world!
Selected Volumes for the Olympic Qualification Series (OQS), our double-textured wood volumes, along with other wood volumes from the EP Holds catalogue, will be featured at the Olympic Qualifications in Budapest, from 20 to 23 June 2024.
Your selection of climbing holds plays an important part in the experience that your climbing wall offers, attracting climbers to your facility.
For bouldering walls it is recommended to use 5 to 15 holds per wall section while for lead walls, 3-4 holds per metre are advised for a hard route and 6-7 holds for an easy route.
We offer a range of EP Holds adapted to all different levels and movements:
Shaped by Olympian Shauna Coxsey, these holds are designed to interconnect with each other. This allows for setters to create stoppers or to improve holds by pairing them together, increasing the amount of possibilities for climbers.
These shapes are more voluminous and allow 3D climbing, offering challenges for both beginners and experts. Atami (which means wave in Japanese), shaped under "la dent de Crolles", Rhône Alpes, offers a whole range of outstanding shapes.
An EP shaper for over three years, Simon is now developing his own range and bringing a wave of originality. These pure and simple shapes reflect a modern style of climbing.
The must have range for setting up a climbing wall.
Our packs include different sizes of holds, enabling easy route setting at a lower cost. Their adaptability is perfect for communities and intensive use.
This range of climbing holds has the grip and detail of granite.
The EP Holds “Kids” range of soft and ergonomic grips are adapted for the hands of children. These holds can be used to set routes on a climbing wall, or build fun traverse wall challenges. Most of this range are certified for playgrounds, guaranteeing the safety of children climbing on them.
Training helps climbers to develop their skills and strength.
EP Holds offer fun, compact hangboards made with the “SoftTouch” texture, specially designed to protect your skin whilst training.
Campus rungs and wooden balls encourage progression by introducing new grips and various moves. These tools allow you to train your fingers, forearms, and biceps.
"I am so excited to share the latest set of holds from my range with EP Climbing. The vision for the latest set is that a route setter could create an entire circuit with these holds alongside the previous range, which is why I was really busy creating lots of new shapes to add to the collection!Continuing the principles from the previous set, these holds are designed to interconnect with each other so setters can create stoppers or improve holds by pairing them together increases the number of possibilities for the setter."
Shauna Coxsey, MBE
From local gyms to World Championships, route setters are always finding new ways of using them! This is why they are also part of the IFSC's official holds & volumes catalogue.
Fibreglass Macros have always been present in EP Holds Range. Iconic shapes such as the Wok, Taijitu, and Bubble have become a must-have for setters.
EP Climbing has collaborated with shaper Florent Bonvarlet to expand its macro range and create new, never before seen shapes. The resistant and adaptable dual texture gives our macros a new visual aspect, with varied shapes allowing climbers to take advantage of the large hold surfaces.
EP volumes allow you to create new moves and rethink the geometry of your walls in a simple and effective manner.
The «Pharao» range is a set of plywood volumes that come in different geometric shapes, which may be easily assembled together to create more complex shapes.
Bolt-on holds can be fixed on the surfaces of the volumes as there are numerous threaded inserts.
